Ares and Herakles

Tolga ran this one thigh to ankle on a single plane so it holds together when the collector is standing. He put the veiled bust at the top where the leg is widest and the bearded god on the shin where it narrows, with the flower and the fine-line arch between them to carry the eye down. The halftone blocks behind the marble are what keep the top half feeling open. By Tolga Temirlenk.
