Cléo from 5 to 7

Nadia's collector is an avid film lover from northeast Oklahoma, and this piece comes from her favorite French New Wave film, Agnès Varda's Cléo from 5 to 7. Nadia shows Cléo in her polka dot dress looking into a gilded mirror, where her reflection turns half to skeleton. The black and grey roses at the frame shift into full color as they climb out across the arm, a nod to the film's reminder that our time on earth is limited. Two sessions, finished in September 2026.
