Owl in the Wind

Renan tattooed the birds on this sleeve a few years before the collector came back to him from Switzerland to finish it. For the second phase he added an ornamental blackwork background, with bold black wind and cloud shapes wrapping the arm to tie the owl, the bird on the forearm and the open wing into one continuous piece. Renan had the owl's wing sweep over the shoulder and onto the chest so the sleeve carries straight on into the torso. By Renan Batista.
