Serpent and Peony

Luiza designed this coverup around a coiled serpent winding through a full magenta peony on the upper arm. The collector asked for thicker outlines and was happy to mix styles, so Luiza paired bold linework on the snake's scales with softer blending in the petals. The snake wraps above and below the flower to carry the eye down the arm, flowing with its natural line. Two sessions, finished in July 2026. By Luiza Fortes.
