Serpent at the Cathedral Window

The collector asked Jess for a snake, a cathedral window, a night sky and small flowers, and Jess built all of it into one panel on the upper outer arm. She set the gothic arch to run the length of the arm so the window frames a deep black sky full of glowing stars. The snake winds through the stone tracery and back out at the bottom, carrying the eye down toward the elbow to give the piece its flow on the body. Full blooms fill the top and the lower right to soften the stonework. Done in one session. By Jess Reef.
