Rich’s approach isn’t just about creating stunning tattoos—it’s about building pieces that last. His deep understanding of color theory, design composition, and technical execution ensures every tattoo reads clearly from a distance and stands the test of time. He's won awards at some of the most prestigious conventions in the world.

Over the last decade, Rich has traveled the world to both learn and teach. His teaching style is immersive, approachable, and packed with insight—and this is your chance to absorb it all, up close and personal.

Seminar Schedule

Day 1: Tattoo Techniques and Presentation

  • Check-in will begin at 10:00AM. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided. The seminar will begin promptly at 10:30AM.

  • Rich will finish a live color realism tattoo (started the day before) on a client while going over his technique.

  • Rich will give a lecture/presentation with visual aids outlining his tattoo and art principles, as well as his tattoo techniques.

  • Q&A will be open all day to ask any questions you’d like for Rich to answer.

  • Lunch will be catered.

Day 2: Hands-on Fake Skin and Design

  • Doors will open at 10:00AM. A light breakfast and coffee will be provided.

  • Each student will work through a tattoo designed by Rich on pre-stenciled fake skin.

  • Throughout the day, Rich will walk around to each participant to give them live feedback to tattoo exactly how he does.

  • Rich will also have his own fake skin on the screen for the class to see to demonstrate specific tattoo techniques.

  • Lunch will be catered.

What we’ll cover

In this seminar, you’ll learn Rich’s entire tattoo and design process, including:

  • How Rich creates his signature blend of realism and surrealism

  • His full tattoo setup—including needle and ink selection

  • How he mixes and layers color for vibrant, saturated results

  • Techniques for achieving clean blends, contrast, and bold structure

  • How to photograph your work like a professional

  • And anything else you want to learn. Rich will answer any and all questions you have.

  • Fake skin and references

  • A selection of slides from Rich’s presentation

  • Everything you need to tattoo, except your machine/power supply.

Who This Seminar is Appropriate For

Any tattoo artist can benefit from this seminar. Many of Rich’s techniques and methods are transferrable to any style.

This seminar is for professional tattoo artists and apprentices only. You must be experienced using a tattoo machine.

The cost of the seminar is $3,500. Payment due in full upon application acceptance and it is nonrefundable.
