Pushing for Perfection: How Karina Ives Brings Tattoos to Life on Skin

Meet our newest artist at Eden: Karina Ives. Karina is able to make pictures come to life on the skin, making her one of the best microrealism artists in Dallas, or even the world. However, her talent and understanding of art means that she can master a variety of styles. We’ll tell you more about Karina’s tattoo style, what she charges, how to book with her, as well as the inspiring journey of how she got here.

Karina’s story is one of resilience and, most of all, passion. Born in Russia, Karina has loved art since she was a child and received an education in fine art. Karina started tattooing in 2011. When war broke out in Russia in 2022, Karina made the brave move to leave behind everything she knew and leave home; which led her to explore the rest of Europe and eventually end up in New York City. After being in NYC for a short time, Karina applied to work here at Eden, and we were blown away by her talent and passion for innovating the tattoo industry.

Behind the scenes, Karina is constantly working to improve herself and the tattoo industry. Karina is a painter and dreams of one day opening large-scale art exhibitions. Her knowledge of fine art translates into her ability to make amazing tattoos. One thing that defines Karina the most is her ambition. Karina is building a YouTube channel, writing a book on tattoo art, and co-developing an app/website with her husband called “Spot Finder” — a platform designed to support traveling artists around the world. Karina also wants to launch new, creative products to help elevate the craft of tattooing.

By this point you’re probably asking: but how do I book with her? It’s easy! Just fill out the booking form here! Before you do that, there are a few things to keep in mind. Because Karina is new to the U.S., she’s very open to taking on any project in nearly every style! From microrealism to fine-line, large scale or small, black and gray or color, Karina can do it all. Regardless of the style, she strives for perfection in every tattoo she does.

While she builds a clientele, Karina is currently charging $200/hr or $1,200 for a full session (which is 6-8 hours of tattooing). This is a fantastic opportunity to get very high quality work for an affordable price, so don’t wait!

The deals don’t end there though. Karina posts a new pre-made design everyday. Pre-made designs cannot be changed or altered, and for that reason they are offered at a discounted rate. To see her new pre-mades, you can join her Instagram channel!

Whatever you’re looking for, if you’re wanting a tattoo artist who pays immaculate attention to detail in her tattoos and who is passionate about the art she does, then Karina is the artist for you.
