Autumn

Autumn is the first daughter of Grease's collector, and the brief was decorative script. Grease drew the name as one unbroken line of lettering from the elbow to the wrist, weighting the capital A heaviest so the eye starts at the top of the arm. Every letter is outlined in solid black with fine filigree worked into the counters, which gives the script depth while the piece stays black and grey. Grease angled the letterforms to lean with the arm rather than sit square on it, so the name stays readable when the arm hangs at rest. Two sessions, finished in July 2026, with a second piece planned for the inner forearm. By Grease.
