Tolga set the crested helmet high on the forearm and put the smaller warrior figure beside it, so the two read at different depths instead of competing. He brought the bird down to the wrist to give the piece somewhere to land. The grid and dotted lines behind them do the work of a background while leaving the skin open. By Tolga Temirlenk.
