Cardinal and Hummingbird

Luiza designed this forearm piece for a collector who traveled from Virginia, in memory of her grandmother and her mother who passed. A northern cardinal perches at the top, and a ruby-throated hummingbird drinks from a red rose midway down, with the cherry blossoms the collector asked for woven between the roses. Luiza ran the composition from the elbow to the wrist so it follows the lines of the arm. One session. By Luiza Fortes.
