La Strega

Luiza designed this lower back piece around the words La Strega, Italian for the witch. The collector is a witch who loves Italy and is learning the language. Large peonies anchor each side, with a bee, a snail, a small blue wren and forget-me-nots tucked through the leaves. Luiza set the flowing script low and centered between the blooms so it follows the curve of the lower back. Two sessions, finished in August 2026. By Luiza Fortes.
