Memento Mori

A memento mori made for someone who works in death care. The client is a funeral director drawn to green burial practice, and she asked for the idea without any of the usual shorthand: no skulls, no embalming tools, nothing human. Death had to sit in the organic material instead. So the flowers carry it, caught mid-decay, some blooms still full and others already collapsed into dry seed heads. Nadia sets the arrangement in a brass urn against flat teal, which pushes every warm red and ochre forward, and lets the gilt frame break open at the top left while a moth settles below the bottom edge.
