Mother and Joey

Demir's collector came in for their mother's favorite animal. Demir tattoos a mother koala with her joey riding on her back, both turned out toward the viewer, gripping a eucalyptus branch that runs down the arm. He builds the background from a deep purple arc and hard black shapes rather than scenery, which gives a full color animal piece firm edges to sit against. The two gold four-point stars and the long black sweep below the branch are the geometry the collector asked for, worked in as structure to add to the flow, rather than decoration. Three sessions, finished in July 2026. By Demir.
