Peony and Serpent

Ethan's collector booked three days giving Ethan full creative freedom. Ethan runs the snake down the outside of the arm, flowing perfectly with the body, as the spine of the piece and opens two large peonies across the shoulder cap where the arm is widest. He works the blooms in soft grey with the petal edges left as fine line, then drops the snake's body into much heavier black so it reads as a separate layer behind them. Ethan sets two ornamental medallions low on the arm to give the design somewhere to end. Three sessions, done over three consecutive days in July 2026. By Ethan Hideo.
