Serpent and Bird

Renan set a golden serpent and a winged bird locked together across this full back piece, with the snake coiling from the shoulders down to the hips. He wrapped the snake's body over the shoulder blades and around the bird's wings so the two read as one movement down the spine, against a dark background of wind, flame and waves that carries the piece onto the glutes.
