Still Life with Negative Space Background

Part of Cass's summer 2025 premade design drop, this tattoo features a Dutch still life. This is a common subject matter for Cass, but what makes this design unique is the framing, made up of negative-space florals and botanicals, creating intrigue to the composition. Though this was a premade design, during the sessions Cass learned that the client's grandmother and aunt were both incredible painters that loves to paint fruits, florals, and landscapes. It's a beautiful example of how even a premade design can carry immense meaning. In this case, it's a way for the client to carry the love of painting through generations, with a tattoo looking like it's growing from her. By Cass Fuller.
