Stone Bloom

Work in progress. Monica designed this as one of her premades, a statue of a woman cradling a small bunch of flowers, and the collector claimed it. She set the figure on the outside of the upper arm and placed it to work around the collector's existing tattoos. Monica wrapped it in sweeping black brushstrokes that follow the curve of the shoulder and run toward the elbow to give it the best flow for the body. She rendered the statue in cool stone greys with touches of red to keep the eye on the face and the flowers. One session so far. By Monica Snyder.
