Abstract Surrealism
Monica graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in 3D animation. Soon after, she switched gears when she found tattooing and worked at a variety of shops in Dallas. Wanting to push her career to the next level, she joined the Eden team in 2021 as one of our original artists. Her inspiration from other art mediums shows in her work, which blends fine art and surreal elements with reality.
Endlessly evolving, Monica’s tattoos are a testament to her ongoing exploration of fresh styles and creative transformation. She constantly practices other mediums outside of tattooing to bring inspiration to her designs and compositions.
In 2023, Monica was awarded 2nd place in the “most unusual” category at the Golden State Tattoo Expo, one of the largest, most prestigious tattoo conventions in the world. Her work is truly original and acclaimed by famous artists.
Monica’s surreal tattoos twist organic elements into captivating forms, blurring the line between the natural and the extraordinary. She often incorporates abstract elements with her painterly application, creating her signature "abstract surrealism" style.
