Alejandro's approach starts with paint, not ink. He spent years training as a traditional painter in Colombia, studying light, color, and composition long before he ever tattooed, and that training is still what drives his work today. Every piece he creates is surreal and narrative-first: realism, symbolism, and deliberate color harmony working together to tell an actual story, not just recreate a photo.
He wants your concept more than your exact picture. Bring him a story, a symbol or a feeling, then give him room to interpret it. He maps the tonal values first and posts them beside the finished tattoo. Female figures, fire, water and animals show up again and again in his work.
Multiple light sources in one composition, high contrast, and color chosen to hold up on your skin rather than to look loud on day one. He took first place at the Brussels Tattoo Convention, and has competed at Expotatuaje Medellin, Santander Expo Tattoo and BTF Convenciones, including the freehand category, where the design goes straight onto skin with no stencil. In 2026 he taught other artists a seminar on color theory.
His work runs long on purpose. One back piece took about 100 hours across a year. One cover-up ran 12 sessions and roughly 50 hours over four years. He would rather your tattoo still read clearly in ten years than pack in detail that closes up.
