The Howl

Monica's collector came to her with a werewolf and a treeline, and she builds it as a cover-up across the upper outer arm. She sets the head high on the shoulder facing forward and runs the forest down behind it, so the scene wraps with the arm as it turns. The red ribbon is Monica's own addition: it loops through the composition and carries the eye around the whole arm, tying the animal to the landscape behind it. She keeps the wolf in deep blacks against the warm haze of the trees. This has taken two sessions. By Monica Snyder.
