Two Sons

Cass's collector came in wanting a tattoo for her two sons, one born in January and one in March, and asked for their birth month flowers. Cass keeps her own flower chart for this and the client took her picks. The result is warm the whole way through, a red and orange dahlia at the center with smaller orange blooms above and below it, heather sprigs feathering out at the edges and grey green eucalyptus behind. A yellow butterfly sits low on the right, the one thing in the piece that isn't a plant. The client asked for negative space behind the florals rather than a filled panel, so the arrangement floats on bare skin and stops well short of the wrist. One session, done in a day.
